The Evolution of Early Warning Detection

Closing the gaps in the market with innovation and quality.

Because when the priority is protecting the continuity of your business operations, waiting on passive smoke detection is simply not enough. The NFPA 75 and 76 regulations recommend the use of early warning aspirating smoke detectors to protect critical areas.

Early Warning Aspirating Smoke Detection

Aspiration detectors trigger alarms in the early stages or fire development, much before the fire starts. This allows us to act proactively and avoid having to react and control a potential fire. The time graph below shows the detection and control stages of fire protection.

Early warning smoke detectors function by actively aspirating and sampling the air in an enclosure, whereas passive photoelectric detectors must wait for the smoke to reach them. Beside the active nature of the detection, our aspirating detectors are on average 8,000× times more sensitive than a conventional detector.

AVA Aspirating Detectors

AVA detectors are the most advanced and precise aspirating smoke detectors currently on the market. with a huge range of solutions aimed at the effective protection of any size space.

With twice the sensitivity as the leading competitor, AVA brings more than just precision to the world of early warning smoke detection. All AVA detectors come with an Artificial Intelligence auto-learning algorithm that adjusts the behavior of the system based on its environment. They bring integrated temperature, humidity, and monoxide sensors to monitor a broader risk profile to ensure your operational continuity. AVA is the true evolution of the aspirating smoke detectors.

The Importance of Stainless Steel

Corroded parts in any fire suppression system can lead to loss of agent and even a false discharges. For this reason, it is important to select the most suitable material to minimize these risks.

FK-5-1-12 is a fluorinated ketone that chemically reacts with water and forms perfluoropropionic acid, as shown below.

When a cylinder is filled or recharged with FK-5-1-12, a small amount of atmospheric moisture can be introduced. This will generate acid which begins to corrode the inside a carbon-steel cylinder, shortening its life and increasing the risk of mechanical failure.

The Solution: Use 100% Stainless Steel

Our Stainless Steel systems are the perfect solution to all corrosion issues caused by agent acidity or environmental factors.
