The New Generation of Suppression

Bringing you optimal quality and design flexibility.

The Importance of Stainless Steel

Corroded parts in any fire suppression system can lead to loss of agent and even a false discharges. For this reason, it is important to select the most suitable material to minimize these risks.

FK-5-1-12 is a fluorinated ketone that chemically reacts with water and forms perfluoropropionic acid, as shown below.

OTHERS

When a cylinder is filled or recharged with FK-5-1-12, a small amount of atmospheric moisture can be introduced. This will generate acid which begins to corrode the inside a carbon-steel cylinder, shortening its life and increasing the risk of mechanical failure.

The Solution: Use 100% Stainless Steel

Our Stainless Steel systems are the perfect solution to all corrosion issues caused by agent acidity or environmental factors.
